How do you think those messages got "Archived"?
Despite the name, there is no Archive folder. . .
There are no Folders in G-mail, even more confusing. . .
All G-mail does is attach labels to messages. . .
When your messages came in, they would have been given an "Inbox" label. . .
But if you have "Archived" those messages, all you have done is remove the "Inbox" label. . .
So your messages are still there. . .
So you have to look in the "All Mail" to find them, or use a search and find method. . .
Do you remember what their Subject heading was, who they were from, approximate date, etc. . . .
Can you find that "All Mail" list option, sometimes even that is hard to find if you do not know how to find it...
The left side lists folder names, sorry, label names, such as "Inbox", "Sent" etc. way down, if you scroll down, there is the "All Mail"...
